Texas - QLD
- State - NSW
- Contributed By - Flamin Smiffs
- Camping - Yes, Dumaresq river, Texas, Queensland - lovely little free camping spot for the self sufficient.
- Comments - Lovely butcher in town, 2 supermarkets, also toilets and hot showers in the middle of town, dump point and drinking water at the council depot. There is a campsite near the roadway, but very busy, we followed the road across the floodway over the river to the T junction, turned left and then took the first track off to the left and followed down to the river, which opened up to accommodate at least 3, right on the bank of the water, lovely outlook.

Smokey Bay / Streaky Bay - SA
- State - SA
- Contributed By - Kevin Victor
- Comments - If you going east (from WA) and taking the coast road, there is a great little spot half way between Smokey Bay and Streaky Bay,about 2Km off the main road by the name of Haslam. No Coles or Woolies - in fact not a shop in site. Just a few houses, mostly uninhabited and Australia Post a little larger than a good size garden shed run by volunteers., a jetty and good fishing - guaranteed squid almost every day and rubbish bins serviced daily (also by a very friendly volunteer).
- Camping - Yes, Good camping ground ($5/day - honesty box), no power but water is provided via rainwater tanks, a toilet which is quite adequate closer to the beach. There is a 14 day limit but if it's not busy and you get to know a couple of locals extended stay is no hastle.
